Healthy eating choices for kids | Wednesday - Wisdom |

Hey  mommies !!!

Our world revolve around our lill ones and our major concern is their health . If your kids are frequently under attack of common flu , cold cough and fever  ,it might be time to look at their eating habits and how it is effecting their health.

However , eating choices of our kids depend upon what we ( parents ) are offering them . It's not their fault if they demands for chocolate in breakfast or a packet of chips in lunch. We are the one who introduce them with packaged and junk food .

You are what you eat

It all starts with food .What we eat has clear impact on our health and immunity .To increse immunity read my post ,tips to boost immunity in kids

Its  a very common ritual in most of our houses to have milk + biscuits just after waking up .If  you dorge your kids with biscuits (which are packed with refined flour, raising agents ,colouring substittute , preservatives and many other harmfull chemicals)  first thing in the morning then it is highly possible your kid refuse to have breakfast ..

Now , in  other case if you offer them milk + porridge , milk + oats or only milk followed by stuffed paratha , poha ,upma or any home made breakfasts then it will give a jump start to their day .

I am sharing my own experience with you all . I never gave my   kiddo biscuit , Jam ,cerelac or any other packaged food till he was 3 ,  now he is 6   and today is the day he never demands me for that.he rarely eats  biscuits , choclates and  in limited amount .

What to do

·         Practice offering healthy food choices at very young age and delay offering unhealthy , packaged , junk food untill a later age.

·         Do not introduce them with  different common packaged food products like  Jam , sauce , biscuits , candy , choclate , chips ,ice cream ,maggie etc until they at least 3 years.

·         If once your kid refuse to eat , offer variety of food multiple times in different situations

·         Try to replace store bought packaged and junk food with homemade and healthy food

Some Tips  to replace common store bought products by natural homemade food
